Denise Eslinger, LPCC-Supv., NCSP, ASD, BCPC, LSW, CMFSW-D, PTSD has been a private consultant, counselor educator, school psychologist, and clinical counselor-psychotherapist working with Dr. Jay Berk, Ph.D in Beachwood, Ohio. Denise is a licensed clinical counselor, board certified psychotherapist, and is board certified hypnotherapist, forensic social worker, PTSD clinician, as well as being masters certified in autism spectrum disorder, and a nationally certified school psychologist. She has over 30 years of experience working with women and children in both the private and public sector. Denise has tested and identified hundreds of children, adolescents, young adults, and specializes in testing and identifying young people at-risk for autism spectrum, adhd, anxiety, depression, dyslexia, learning disabilities, PTSD, social skill deficits, and other disorders that result in profound social, emotional, behavioral, academic and learning problems.
Denise has served on several local and state-wide committees and is currently on several executive boards as a school psychologist, and as a private counselor & psychotherapist. She recently received the State of Ohio School Psychologist of the Year award, Regional School Psychologist of the Year Award, and is a past President of the Ohio School Psychologist Association. Denise is currently the president of the Lorain-Elyria regional School Psychologist Association, Denise has presented numerous workshops on a wide range of topics for professionals, schools, and community organizations. She is the chair of Ohio School Psychologist Association Dyslexia Committee, and is an active consultant for Pearson’s national dyslexia committee. Denise is also an Ashland University adjunct faculty instructor for the department of professional development and continuing education, providing bachelor and graduate level college credit, and CEU’s to teachers, administrators, counselors, and other professionals in the education and mental health fields.
