Jennifer Toker, M.Ed, PCC-S is a master’s level, independently licensed clinical counselor who has been practicing in the Cleveland area for more than 18 years. She attended Ohio University, where she earned a master’s degree in education, with a specialization in mental health counseling. Jennifer has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and families in multiple settings, including outpatient, partial hospitalization, in home family therapy, residential treatment, and school settings. Her clinical practice includes diagnosis and treatment of a broad spectrum of issues, including but not limited to trauma, Anxiety Disorders, Mood Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and Conduct Disorder. Jennifer has had training in multiple treatment modalities, including Cognitive Behavior therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), trauma informed care, crisis management, safety/risk assessments, mindfulness and anger management. In addition to private practice, Jennifer works in a school setting with adolescents, and she has a vast knowledge of special education. She also works in the psychiatry department at Akron Children’s Hospital, where she provides risk assessments to children and adolescents in the Emergency Department.
